The SAVE Shoreditch Campaign SAVE Shoreditch is raising funds to support its campaign for cohesive, positive regeneration and responsible place-making. It is lobbying for a joined-up masterplan of the area, one that carries tangible benefits for its Communities and residents. The area involved encompasses Shoreditch, Bethnal Green and Brick Lane – London’s vibrant, cultural heartland otherwise known to property developers as the City Fringe and into which they plan to extend miles of unwieldy office accommodation with high street style retail malls ... development that will undermine and overwhelm the neighbourhood. Just Desserts is the second in a new series of fundraising events for the SAVE Shoreditch Campaign. The first was The Summer Fundraising Dinner and Art Auction sponsored by Shoreditch House, which raised over £14,000. SAVE Shoreditch is warmly supported by local artists such as Tracey Emin, Gavin Turk, Patrick Hughes, Cornelia Parker, Cathy de Monchaux, Adam Dant and others. The Campaign is also supported by myriad independent businesses including Mark Hix, Start London, Tommy Guns, The Princes Foundation, The Rochelle Canteen, Graphic Techniques, Bordello, the Eyre Brothers, Stirling Ackroyd, Kemistry, and many more.
